Professor is proud to have founded Pancare Foundation in 2011 to help fight pancreatic, liver, biliary and foregut cancers.

The Pancare Foundation works across three main areas:

Patient Support:

Providing holistic & individualised support to those affected by pancreatic, liver, biliary, oesophageal and stomach cancers; from the point of diagnosis through to recovery and bereavement.

Innovative, World-Leading Research:

Pancare supports expert research in pancreatic, liver, biliary, oesophageal and stomach cancers to increase survival and wellbeing.

Advocacy & Collaboration:

Working with government as well as key community organisations to advocate action and put a lasting spotlight on pancreatic, liver, biliary, oesophageal and stomach cancers.

The Pancare Foundation is a member of the Australian Pancreatic Cancer Alliance – a collaborative voice raising awareness of pancreatic cancer in Australia with a long-term view of increasing donor funds to support research. Members of the Pancreatic Cancer Alliance currently include (in alphabetical order): Avner Pancreatic Cancer Foundation; Cancer Australia; Garvan Institute of Medical Research; GI Cancer Institute; Karen Livingstone; Patron – Tracey Spicer, and #PurpleOurWorld.
