Second Opinion
If you would like to obtain a surgical consult on a patient with a pancreas, liver or biliary cancer or disorder or related problem, this can be done by making an appointment at the rooms or by email contact. Referral can be made by general practitioner or the patient themselves. Consultation fees for self-referrals are not claimable in part from Medicare or Private insurance. In most cases pertinent medical information and CDs of imaging such as CT, MRI and reports need to be provided on the day of review. In situations where the patient’s case is to be discussed at a Multi-disciplinary meeting, if biopsies have been performed, we may request to have the glass pathology slides also to review. These are best sent by overnight mail services so that they may be tracked. |
