AllisonClinical Nurse & Clinical Research Coordinator
Allison BaAppSci(Nursing), Grad Cert(Crit Care), BaHonours(Nursing) is a senior clinical research nurse at Austin Health. She is a Registered Nurse with 30 years acute care experience combined with 14 years conducting clinical research. She is also a member of the Austin Health Clinical Research Review Committee for the Human Research Ethics Committee. She established the Familial Pancreatic Cancer Screening Research Study at Austin Health and continues to contribute to this important research as well as participating in collaborations with Intensive Care, Respiratory and Sleep Medicine research studies at Austin Health. She is also the coordinator clinical trial (PanCO - A Pilot Study of OncoSil™) assessing a novel method for treating locally advanced for pancreatic cancer.

LaurenDietian
Lauren is an experienced Accredited Practising Dietitian with a strong background in clinical nutrition and a passion for patient-centred care. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Nutritional Science) from La Trobe University (2006) and a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from Monash University (2010). For over 15 years, Lauren has worked primarily with Ramsay Health Care, initially at Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital and more recently at Warringal Private Hospital. Her clinical interests span a broad range of areas, with particular focus on gastrointestinal health, including post-surgery, intensive care, enteral and parenteral nutrition, cancer care, diabetes, cardiovascular health, rehabilitation and nutritional support for patients experiencing malnutrition. Lauren’s approach is collaborative and compassionate—she works closely with each patient to understand their unique condition, preferences, and goals, and develops tailored strategies to support improved nutrition and overall health. Outside of her professional life, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband, Jacques, and their two children, Ava and Louis. She lives on the Mornington Peninsula, just five minutes from her “happy place” – the beach.
